How “Hit” works
Hit records the length of the current interval and immediately begins the next interval without stopping the main stopwatch. The five most recent marked moments appear on the timer card.
Timers and screen locking
GoodTimes calculates elapsed time from timestamps, so running timers remain accurate while the app is in the background or the screen is locked. Open the app again to refresh the display if your device has suspended it.
iPhone Live Activities
On iOS 17 or later, each timer can appear as a Live Activity on the Lock Screen. If a Live Activity is missing, confirm that Live Activities are allowed for GoodTimes in iPhone Settings, then reopen the app.
iOS limits the lifetime of an individual Live Activity. Returning to GoodTimes asks the system to restore activities for timers that still exist.
Restore or remove timers
Timers are saved automatically on your device. Reset clears a timer and its marked moments; delete removes the complete timer. Both actions ask for confirmation first. Deleted local data cannot be recovered by GoodTimes.
Before reporting a problem
- Reopen GoodTimes and check whether the timer refreshes.
- Confirm that your device runs a supported operating-system version.
- Restart the device if system Lock Screen updates have stopped.
- Email us before deleting the app, because deletion also removes local timers.

GoodTimes records elapsed time only. It does not determine whether any action is safe, and it does not provide medical advice. If you or someone else feels unwell or may be in immediate danger, stop using the app and contact onsite medical staff or local emergency services immediately.
